Team Update 02-12-2022

In case you forgot, we post team updates every other week! Let's take a look at what the team has been up to!

Let's start off with the buoyancy team! They redesigned the buoyancy machine to use a motor-syringe system instead of a pump system. They built and tested a prototype of the machine and it worked in their small trial. Soon they will incorporate a linear actuator system to make the machine automatic and test it in the pool for greater depth.

Now onto the structure team! The structure team has created the metal frame that we will be using this season. They hope to have all of the needed mounts within the next couple of weeks.

Next is the vision team! They have got most of the materials needed to pot the cameras, and they are going to begin potting those within the next couple of weeks.

Continuing onto the communication team! They have created business cards and started a kid-friendly tri-fold about the team to present at local elementary schools. They have been organizing stem nights with multiple different elementary schools. They hope to add our website to the card soon and get them printed off.

And last but not least, the 3D printing team! They have made a design for a better mount for the bilge pumps in the past couple of weeks. They also worked on some digital art designs for future references.
