The past two weeks our team did a lot of community outreach! We partnered up with schools and clubs to help teach kids about what our team does and what we are all about!

Early in the week, we attended a stem night at a local elementary school. We set up a booth that families could walk up to and ask questions and/or learn about our ROV and the many things about underwater robotics!

Moving on to later in the week, we hosted our own stem night for cub scouts! We spoke with them about our team and answered many questions they had. To conclude the stem night, we took the kids and parents down to the pool so everyone had the chance to drive the ROV and complete a task!
Now onto our team updates, starting with the payload group! This week, the specifics of the payload design were drafted. This includes aspects such as the materials used, individual mechanisms, and spacing. The next goal will be to model each part of the payload and test how they fit together.
Next up, the electrical team! the Electrical team is experimenting with a way to have the raspberry pi control all of the motors and servos so they can eliminate another link in the chain (the Arduino).
To follow up, the camera team! The camera team is currently in the process of finding new angle degrees for the new cameras and exploring options for waterproofing.
After that, we have the structure and 3D printing team! The Structure team is detailing the frame and will begin assembly soon, while the 3D Printing Team has been working on post-processing and finishing parts for use.
Last but not least, the buoyancy team! The Buoyancy Engine team assembled the lead screw and began attaching it to a syringe to test it.
